In 2023, Jackson Fooks showcased his remarkable driving skills at the local K1 speed track in Richmond, VA, clinching the 1st place title for the season and earning the prestigious title of Virginia State Champion. His impressive performance led to an invitation to compete in the National K1 Championship held in Ontario, California, where 40 of the best K1 drivers gathered. Jackson qualified in an impressive 4th place and made a strong showing in the final race, working his way up to 2nd place while closely nudging the leader's bumper. However, misfortune struck when his kart began to malfunction and lose power, causing him to drop back to 5th place. Despite the setback, K1 officials replaced his kart mid-race. Although he couldn't regain his earlier position, Jackson finished with a commendable 5th place, proving his resilience and skill on the track. Check out the championship video:
